1) What this system is
This page covers the current creature-family drop direction and dungeon chest loot rules.
2) Core rules (exact mechanics)
General rules:
- Most non-undead, non-excluded creatures now drop an essence every kill
- Standard essence drops are usually
1-2 - Side materials roll independently
- Side hides/materials usually roll
0-3 - Side meat/food usually roll
0-2 - Special single materials usually roll
0-1
Main exclusions:
- Desert chickens: no drops
- Hatworm: no drops
- Undead: no general-material drops
- Void creatures keep their own existing drop identity and are not covered by the general rework

Life family
- Rat -> Life Essence, Soft Hide
- Boar -> Life Essence, Soft Hide, Raw Wildmeat
- Ram -> Life Essence, Soft Hide, Raw Wildmeat
- Black Wolf -> Life Essence, Light Hide, Raw Chicken
- Rattle Snake -> Life Essence, Light Hide, Raw Chicken
- Grizzly Bear -> Life Essence, Medium Hide, Raw Pork
- Mosshorn -> Life Essence, Medium Hide, Raw Pork
Lightning family
- Cave Spider -> Lightning Essence, Poison Sack
- Molerat -> Lightning Essence, Medium Hide
- Scarak Larva/Louse -> Lightning Essence, Raw Wildmeat
- Scarak Locust/Seeker -> Lightning Essence, Raw Wildmeat, Poison Sack, Chitin
- Scarak Warrior/Fighter -> Lightning Essence, Chitin

Void / dark-support family
- Outlander Priest -> Void Essence, Raven Feathers, random non-utility/non-legendary potion, 15% Voidstone chance
- Outlander Sorcerer -> Void Essence, Raven Feathers, random non-utility/non-legendary potion, 15% Voidstone chance
Random essence family
- Shadow Knight_KD -> random essence roll
4) Dungeon chest loot
Current dungeon chest behavior:
- Common dungeon chests roll
1-6items - Legendary/gold dungeon chests roll
4-12items
Common chest themes:
- Bronze bars
- Silver bars
- eggs
- useful foraging/cooking ingredients
Legendary chest themes:
- Silver bars
- Gold bars
- useful forage/cooking ingredients
- gems at a lower rate than bars/materials
Important note:
- Duplicate rolls can happen if RNG lands on the same item more than once
- Dungeon chest cleanup was done through asset-side chest pools, not by rewriting the dungeon plugin reward system
5) What this means for progression
- Creature farming now feeds professions much more directly
- Essences are part of normal world progression now
- Cooking, Alchemy, and Jewelcrafting all benefit more from farming specific creature families
- Dungeon chests are now better for bars/material support instead of being overloaded with junk or broken ids
6) Common mistakes
- Farming undead expecting the new essence/material loop
- Ignoring creature family type when hunting for a specific profession mat
- Expecting every legendary chest to be gem-heavy
